About Us

Who We Are

Founded in 2026, Community Care Foundation began with a vision to reduce HIV infections in Cape Town and surrounding areas. Our mission is to raise awareness, prevent new infections, and provide education to families and communities.

Our Beginning

Built around Cape Town's families.

The foundation was created by community members who saw the same story repeat across neighbourhoods: parents wanting to protect their children but unsure how to have the conversation, adolescents making decisions without the information they needed, and stigma keeping people from testing.

We started with a single question — what would it take to change this in our city? — and built our programs from the answers.

  • Adolescent girls first. They face the sharpest risk. Our design starts with what protects them.
  • Family conversations. Prevention that lasts begins at home, not in a leaflet.
  • Meet people where they are. Community halls, sports events, schools, WhatsApp — wherever the audience is, we go.
